A Fresh look at the Map: Visicom introduces updated icons for nine POI categories

The Visicom team has released a major visual update to its mapping interface, introducing a redesigned set of map icons for key categories of points of interest (POIs).

The redesign aims to improve map readability, increase visual clarity, and provide a more modern user experience, making it easier for users to navigate urban environments.

The update introduces a new set of icons covering nine major categories of infrastructure and public facilities, including:

• Healthcare facilities (hospitals and pharmacies);
• Transportation infrastructure (bus and tram stops, gas stations, and parking facilities);
• Educational institutions;
• Places of worship;
• Government and administrative buildings.

A key advantage of this release is its seamless deployment. The updated icons have been integrated directly into the Visicom platform and are applied automatically across all supported services.

Developers, business customers, and organizations using Visicom solutions do not need to modify their applications, update configurations, or perform any migration steps. The new map styling is available immediately without any changes on the client side.
